DP350: touchMATRIX® Indicator for transonic distance measurement
The DP350 with its start-stop interface was developed for the transonic distance measurement with the aid of absolute transducers and magnetostrictive sensors. The device has a resistive touch screen with multicolor graphic display (red, green, yellow). The display can be programmed depending on the event. The device provides many functions such as scaling, filters, zero offset, count direction and linearization with up to 24 interpolation points.
During the transonic measurement, the device sends an Init pulse to the encoder, whereupon the measurement is started. The encoder sends back a start and a stop pulse. The position can be calculated by the time between the start and stop pulse and the preseted waveguide speed of the encoder. This method can be used for distances and also for angle measurement. The angles can also be displayed as angular minutes and angular seconds.
